You can request permanent account deletion without purchasing anything or visiting a paid service.
From the Android app
- Sign in and open My Account.
- Select Delete my YapThing account and cloud data.
- Review the warning and confirm the deletion request.
The app sends the request to its authenticated Supabase deletion service. Deleting the account removes the Supabase account and linked account-owned cloud backup/profile records.
If the app is unavailable
Send a deletion request to YapThing support from the email address associated with your account. State that you want your YapThing account and related cloud data deleted. Never email passwords, verification codes, or login tokens. We may ask you to verify account ownership.

Account authentication details and account-owned backup/profile data are removed through the deletion process. A copy of chats stored only on your local phone or another offline device is not remotely erasable and must be cleared on that device. Limited security or legal records might be retained only where required. For a cloud-backup-only deletion, sign in and select Delete cloud backup instead.
